A dedication…
If I may be allowed to get briefly just a little personal, and yet remain overly vague (s’how I roll), I just heard this song again for the first time in probably years and it instantly reminded me of, well 2 people. One of them I call my brother (cousin, technically), a firefighter and one of the nicest and most selfless people I’ve ever known. The other I’m sure would adamantly deny being called “heroic” in any sense, but is such to me on a much more personal level. Sometimes people come along in your life when you most need them, even if you’re not fully aware of that need until you realize just how much they have helped you. This song reminds me of how grateful I am to know such people.
